Greenland Mines CEO on advancing critical minerals projects amid growing strategic importance

Greenland Mines Ltd (NASDAQ:GRML) president Bo Møller Stensgaard spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's advanced critical minerals projects in Greenland, its plans to progress towards mining permits, and the growing strategic focus on Greenland as a potential source of critical metals for European and US markets. Stensgaard said Greenland Mines aims to be a focused mineral resource development company concentrating on advanced, large-scale projects in Greenland, discussing the Skaergaarde project, where gold, palladium and platinum form part of the resource opportunity, alongside the Sarfartoq rare earth project. On Skaergaarde in Southesast Greenland, Stensgaard highlighted its scale and potential for further expansion. The company is currently focused on increasing confidence in the resource and assembling the technical information needed to move the project towards its next stage, including mine engineering, survey activity, environmental baseline studies and water depth measurements in sheltered fjords. Stensgaard also discussed the Southwest Greenland rare earth project, where recent mapping and sampling have indicated a larger mineralised system with satellite deposits and additional exploration targets, allowing the company to advance its existing resource while exploring new targets around the wider ring structure. Looking ahead, Stensgaard identified mining permits as a key next step, saying both projects are sufficiently advanced for Greenland Mines to work towards applications to the Government of Greenland, alongside further project results.
